Not until after all the photos have been taken can Jen approach potential exhibition spaces and announce exibiting dates. Too many factors remain unknown concerning numbers of participants and the necessary amount of exhibition space.
Jen would ideally like to exhibit in downtown Asheville during 2008 for a limited engagement and community celebration. A second extended exhibit will most likely take place on the UNC-Asheville campus in central Asheville. If you would like to approach Jen with an idea or suggestion concerning an exhibiting location please do not hesitate to contact her.
At the exhibit Jen hopes to have a limited number self-published books available that will encapsulate all of the participants with a few words of reflection. Copies of this book will be donated to local libraries and educational institutions in the Asheville area. Remaining copies will be available for purchase by pre-order sales.
A copy of all portraits will be donated to the city’s historical archives, but each framed original will be available to the respective participant for purchase. Each participant will receive a digital copy of their portrait as well that will be awarded to them as thanks at the opening exhibition community celebration.
Jen
is
hoping to work with local-businesses to attain sponsorshup for the final exhibition.
If
you are a business and would like to sponsor the project or donate in-kind
services please email Jen.
